Call for abstracts

The SECED 2019 Committee is pleased to invite abstracts for the SECED 2019 Conference. The Abstract Submission Portal is now open.

This category contains conferences organised by, or otherwise affiliated with, SECED.

Induced seismicity is being studied in technologies such as hydraulic fracturing, waste water disposal carbon sequestration and geothermal energy. Incidents such as the ones which took place in Lancashire (UK) and Basel (Switzerland) have led to a demand for more information on how to manage the risks involved in these activities and what the industry can do to address public concern.

Event End Date 14/02/2013

The aim of this SECED conference is to bring together young engineers and researchers from both the industry and academia to meet and exchange ideas related to the study and practice of earthquake engineering and civil engineering dynamics. This conference will focus on: structural dynamics (experimental, numerical and practical); geotechnical earthquake engineering (experimental, numerical and practical); seismology and risk assessment; seismic retrofit.
