    EPICentre is a multidisciplinary research group at University College London (UCL) that investigates risk to society and infrastructure from earthquakes and other natural hazards. EPICentre research projects adopt a range of methods from the physical sciences, engineering, remote sensing and social sciences. EPICentre is part of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering at UCL but also comprises academics and researchers from the Departments of Psychology and Mechanical Engineering. It runs an MSc in Earthquake Engineering with Disaster Management, has strong international and industrial links, and is a member of the Willis Research Network.

    The Global Earthquake Model (GEM) is an international forum where organisations and people come together to develop, use and share tools and resources for transparent assessment of earthquake risk. The GEM Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation involved in the development of high-quality earthquake risk assessment tools; in collection and generation of earthquake risk information (datasets, models, methods and guidelines); in development and implementation of collaborative risk assessment projects at various scales; and in technology transfer and training.
